Carinna Parraman is Associate Professor and acting Director at the Centre for Fine Print Research, the University of the West of England, Bristol. She is the current chairman of the IMPACT multidisciplinary printmaking conferences and chairman of the Colour Group (Great Britain). Parraman trained as a fine art printmaker, and her work now spans the art and science of print, including color appearance and perception, texture capture and reproduction methods, and 2.5-D printing. She is working with the National Gallery, London, on the 2.5-D and 3-D image capture and print in the cultural heritage field, and is working on the development of innovative methods for the deposition of inks and paints for fine art reproduction.
