Paul Coldwell is Professor of Fine Art at the University of the Arts London. He has exhibited widely, and his work is included in numerous public collections, including the Tate, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the British Museum, and the Musée d’Art et d’Histoire, Geneva. In 2014 a retrospective exhibition of his work, A Layered Practice—Graphic Works 1993–2012, was presented at the University of Kent, and in 2015 the exhibition Material Things at the University of Bradford focused on his sculpture. He curated Morandi’s Legacy: Influences on British Art at the Estorick Collection, London, in 2006, and The Artists Folio at Cartwright Hall Art Gallery, Bradford, in 2014. Coldwell contributes regularly to Print Quarterly and Art in Print; he was keynote speaker at the IMPACT 7 conference in Melbourne in 2011; and his most recent book, Printmaking: A Contemporary Perspective, was published in 2010.
