Tanja Engelberts (born 1987 in the Netherlands) lives and works in the Hague. She received her Master of Fine Arts from Chelsea College of Arts in London in 2013 after studying sculpture and monumental arts at the AKI ArtEZ Academy of Art & Design in Enschede, the Netherlands, and the Toyo Institute of Art and Design in Tokyo, Japan.

Recent solo exhibitions and installations include Bozeman’s Curse, Ucross Foundation, Wyoming, USA (2014); The Island, Clifford Chance, London (2014); Doodenboek, a permanent installation in the Oranjehotel in Scheveningen, a World War II prison near the Hague (2015); and Staging the City, ING Insurance, the Hague (2012). She won the Clifford Chance/University of the Arts London Sculpture Award in 2014.

Engelberts’s works are in the collections of Clifford Chance, Nationale Nederlanden, and the Ucross Foundation.
